Our Beliefs
The following is a list of the core beliefs of our organisation that our members agree to when they join us.
Independence
We believe disabled people are entitled to live as independently as possible and to enjoy the same standard of living as non-disabled people. Decision Making
We believe disabled people should be actively involved in any decision making which involves their lifestyle. Support Services
We believe appropriate and relevant support services should be provided to enable disabled people to achieve an optimum level of control over their lives. Legislation
We believe all new legislation should reflect the needs and aspirations of disabled people. Services and Facilities
We believe services and facilities should be accessible to all. Financial Resources
We believe disabled people should have sufficient financial resources to enjoy a reasonable standard of living despite the additional costs they may incur due to disability. Addressing Needs
We believe that the needs of disabled people of all ages need to be identified and addressed. Information
We believe that all information should be made available in appropriate and relevant formats.
